Job description
Strategize and develop VCSEL and illuminator test methodology and test equipment for entire product lifecycle at different phases of build.
Strategize and manage activities for the development, characterization, and implementation of new test equipment, probe cards, jigs and fixtures, test concepts, methods, programs and systems integration into production.
Define equipment requirements and specifications used in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of VCSEL & illumination devices.
Ensure the optimal application of technology to meet product development and/or customer requirement. Develop probecard, fixtures, jigs and test equipment for VCSEL & illuminator testing including test handler and tester perspective.
Review test program and optimization to meet product development and/or customers requirement.
Liaise and support customers on all test related subjects.
Recommend and prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will optimize processes, enhance yields, reduce costs and improve the manufacture of product / processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal procedures, policies, documentation and quality system.
Technical lead in a diverse team environment that includes interactions with suppliers, internal and external customers, as well as production personnel.
Requirements
Degree/Master/PhD in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Physics with min 10 years of related experience in VCSEL Fab or packaging / semiconductor packaging / semiconductor manufacturing background.
Possess VCSEL/ Illuminator package design, modeling knowledge would be an added advantage.
Have strong leadership qualities and be able to drive project teams in ensuring set time lines, costs and quality expectations are met.
Possess prior experience in project management and preferably from range of medium to large size projects.
Communicate and writing report to customer on tester development related topics.
Familiar with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Ability to work under pressure and commit at irregular hours when required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and influence a wide range of internal and external customers.
Be dynamic, resourceful and self-motivated.
